saturday snuggles

The best part about Saturday mornings? Well, besides sleeping in, is snuggling with my puppy!
She is so sweet and usually very happy I'm at home for the whole day with her!
If you have personal space issues, Hazel will cure that for sure.
After my wedding, my mama generously took my bouquet back to Marietta to have it frozen, dried and framed by Forever Flowers Bouquets.  When they were ready to be put together, I went and choose a frame and background.  I am SO happy with the way it turned out!! It could not be more beautiful!  And now David and I have this beautiful reminder of the best day of our lives to look at all the time!
I've been sewing more and more lately!  Hazel has been the sole beneficiary of my crafts so far though. I went to stay with my parents for a long weekend recently.  After my mama and I picked up my bouquet, we decided to visit around Roswell, GA.  We ate lunch at Greenwoods and looked around the shops downtown.  In one of the craft stores, I saw collar covers for dogs.  They were so cute!  So I decided to try and make one.  It was so much easier than I expected.  I just made a simple one, but it turned out really cute!  And Hazel doesn't mind wearing it at all!  Next time I'd like to make the bow bigger and maybe add some other fun embellishments.  But for now she is just a doll!
I covered the button myself too!  I was really proud!
Hazel is particularly loving this Saturday morning because of the warmth of the computer.  She is also fully engaged in watching Family Matters right now too.  Have I mentioned how much our puppy LOVES watching tv?

Happy Weekend :)

banana pancakes? no flour? yes ma'am.

I hope you are having a great weekend!  My Dawgs beat Tennessee and my Volleydoggs came in 3rd at their region tournament!  Hard work pays off!  Now all I feel like doing is going to bed for days!
Fall break is soon enough!

I have a new AMAZING recipe to share with you!

No Flour Banana Pancakes
Do the words pancakes and gluten free go together? Nope.  And they don't taste good either.

But you know what does taste good? Banana pancakes.

What's even better?  Flour free banana pancakes.

Take 1 banana, 1 egg, and 1 egg white. (I also added a little cinnamon!)

Blend. Not too much, but enough!
Spray your skillet.

Make pancakes!
No flour! Lots of protein and potassium!

And they taste, AMAZING!!!!!

I hope you enjoy them!

end of the year!

alright... I MADE IT!!  I made it until the end of the year!  I spent the last day of school getting my classroom organized and ready for next year!  On Pinterest and other blogs, I saw teachers cover parts of their file cabinets with scrapbook paper.  Now, at my school, you take whatever you can get your hands on, not matter how it looks!  So I decided to try this out!  And it worked out well!!  I covered the rusty top and put labels on the front!
I will miss my classroom until next year...
This weekend, David and I traveled to St. Simons for a wedding!  And wow were they lucky Beryl held off!  It was absolutely beautiful on Saturday!  It worked out perfect because it gave me an excuse to go see my good friend Sarah T!
The wedding was beautiful too!  It was outside and the temperature was perfect!  During the wedding, they had horse carriage rides going on and dancing on the lawn.  It was so fun!
Even though tropical storm Beryl wanted to stop us from having a good time, we were able to get plenty of sun!  Just before we left, we decided that even though there were 60 mph winds, we wanted one last walk on the beach.  And sure enough, we were in the background of the Weather Channel coverage of the storm for awhile!  It was pretty cool!
We had a great weekend!! Only 19 days left until the BIG day! :)
