pinning pinning pinning

I spent part of tonight pinning, pinning, pinning, just to unwind for the day.
I am ALWAYS amazed by the awesome things I find on Pinterest.  People are so creative.  God makes each of us so perfectly unique.  Pinterest is such a cool reminder of that!

I am obsessed with Instagram, but I always find myself wishing I had copies of my pictures.  Well now you can!  They will print them, make them magnets, and more!

I absolutely LOVE monograms!  How cute is this casserole carrier.  Minus the Auburn colors, it is precious!  I would love to show up at a party with my dish in this cute carry!
Also, I'm going to do a DIY on a lamp in our house THIS weekend!  This lamp shade would fit in perfectly! I can't wait to get started!
I've been crushing on everyone's statement necklaces.  I'm definitely in the market for my own.  I just have to find the perfect style for me!  This one is precious!
I've been seeing these on Pinterest.  Then I simply Googled "31 days of prayer for your husband." You wouldn't believe how many links I found.  I've got at least five months worth of different prayers to cover David with!  I'm pretty excited about it!
Lastly, I love my husband.  He is so amazing!

What are you pinning?

Things I'm Crushing On: Summer Edition!

I wanted to share with you some things I'm loving this summer!!  While I could go on and on about a lot of things, here are some of my top picks!  I would love to hear about what you are crushing on this summer too, or let me know if there is something I should try!
 1. DIY American Flag Jean Shorts

This summer, more than ever we have seen American flags everywhere!  Some may hate on this new trend, but I am loving the DIY shorts!!  This is just and example, but I have seen some really cute ones!  Especially those where the back pockets have been replaced with stars and stripes :) I love Ammurriccaa.

2. Avocados

We all know about the benefits that avocados provide.  Protection against cancers and strokes, great heart health benefits, Vitamin E and lots of other goodies!  The GREAT thing about avocados is that they can be used in so many awesome ways!  On sandwiches, cut up and fried, with pasta, on salad, with chicken, and I could go on and on.  However, my favorite way to use them... guacamole! Such a yummy summer treat!

3. OPI Cajun Shrimp

I'm obsessed with all things pink lately.  But, OPI Cajun Shrimp takes the cake.  I am in love! It is bright, but not too bright and summer festive!  I highly recommend it if you are going to get your toes polished up!

4. Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara

You are about to love me.  One stroke of this mascara and you will know why!  This mascara makes my eyelashes full, curled, and long!  Go get yourself some now! You won't regret it!  I got mine at Sephora and have used it every day since, whether I'm going out or not!

5. Chevron... everything!

If you can't tell from my blog's new look... I love Chevron.  Now don't go crazy with it, but a few chevron accent pieces are clutch (and so cute)!  I've seen a lot of tutorials for curtains, and I've seriously been contemplating it.  The hubs loves chevron too, so we'll see :)

6. Starfish Jewelry

I am loving starfish jewelry.  I recently got some coral earrings with gold starfishes on them and I'm in love!  Summertime is the best time to wear sea creatures, so these little gems are sure to get you compliments!

Please let me know what you are crushin' on too!  Or if you know of any deals on the things I love!

Much love, Court

He got up

Jesus gave his life for us! How wonderful it is to be able to celebrate Him! I've included some of my favorite worship songs on a MixPod below! I hope you enjoy them! I'll never forget when we would travel to my gramma's house in middle south Georgia for Easter. The Easter bunny always seemed to find us there. But more importantly, I can remember the sunrise service we went to, as well as, many other services. One year, her pastor's theme was simply, "He got up!" And well, I think that says it all. Jesus got up and since then, has rescued each of us :)

So Easter isn't just about the cute bunny we see on every corner...

It's about the cross...

And it wouldn't be Easter if I didn't say that using pictures of cupcakes! haha But seriously, what a cute idea with the crosses, right? I'm also really looking forward to teaching my kids about the resurrection one day using resurrection rolls! I mean, how cute is that! The kids just think the marshmallow vanishes!

I hope you had a wonderful Easter! Please let me know if you have any neat Easter traditions like resurrection rolls!

"Christ has died and
Christ is risen,
and Christ will come again

Celebrate his death and rising
Lift your eyes, proclaim his coming
Celebrate his death and rising
Lift you eyes, lift your eyes"

four day weekend friday

Today was beautiful... main reason, I had the day off!!! Woo hoo! I think teachers are happier than the students on holidays. With today off and my conference this week, I really only taught 3 days! It was a refreshingly short week! A big shout out to all the presidents that I will be thinking about on Monday while I'm sleeping in again ;)

This week I've had my students working on a Medieval Magazine. I changed the project up from what I normally do and unfortunately, did not have an example for them. I stayed up really late Wednesday night creating this masterpiece for my students as an example. (Then I totally passed if off like a former student did it!) This is the cover.

Now if you haven't tried Sparkling ICE yet, then you are seriously missing out! This zero calorie water drink has the carbonation of soda and the flavor of fruit! Yummmmmy! My favorite flavor... Lemon Lime.

What's great about having random days off? Filling them with doctors appointments.

Drove to Marietta to visit my parents :) Just before I left, I lost my phone in my apartment for an hour. I found it in the refrigerator. How do things like that happen?

Came home to my sweet daddy, who made me stir fry. Be jealous, it was yumtastic. In case you are wondering, of course its a word.

Can't wait to snuggle up here tonight and dream sweetly! Home, sweet home!

Now I'm about to watch the Office and Revenge with my dad. Hope you all had a great week as well. I'm linking up with Lauren from High Five for Friday for this post. I'm so happy the weekend is here!

The past year was an emotional roller coaster for me--the good, the bad, and the sad.

On the sad note, I lost two grandparents last year--one February 10th and the other September 27th. Each of them were very near and dear to my heart. The Lord got two amazing angels last year.

Yesterday, was one year since my Grandpa joined our heavenly Father. Being a pilot in the Navy, he was buried in the Georgia National Cemetery. (I'm telling you-he was an awesome Grandpa!) I was unable to visit with my Grandma yesterday. The most recent picture I have from it was at Christmas, when they lay a fresh wreath on every grave. It is absolutely beautiful. I miss you, Grandpa.

Since I've been thinking about my Grandpa so much the last couple days, I was shocked to hear the world also lost someone influential today.... Whitney Houston. Wow, I can't believe it. I've been singing her songs my whole life, literally! So to honor her, I will post one of my favorite songs by her. Enjoy!
