update

I've been really busy lately! Time is just flying by!

Tennis just started up and it has been fun so far!

It's an amazing feeling to be back out there.

This weekend I went by my high school.  While my tennis team went to region and state every year,  This was the year we came in first!

I went home this weekend to visit my parents for my mama's birthday!

On Saturday, they went shopping with me before the UGA/FL game.  I have been in need of a dresser and found a great deal!  Here are some pictures of my dresser (that I'm SO excited about) and my parents hanging out in the cute store we found it in.

Then we got some boiled peanuts! My favorite :)

While we were shopping, I got some awesome ideas for crafting!  I've been contemplating getting a big old shutter of sorts for above my fire place.  This small version of what I want to do inspired me to get busy!

David and I are really excited about decorating for our first Christmas as a married couple! 

I mean REALLY excited!

This small tree inspired me on so many levels.  Think about how easy this would be?!

Cute right?  I think this one was for a little girl, but there are so many possibilities!

I'm looking forward to spending my Thanksgiving break crafting!  Now if it would just get here!

almost there

I've almost made it to fall break!  My 15-17 hour days will finally be over!  I am SOOO ready for the break!  It is much needed.

I am so ready to get busy using Annie Sloan paint.  It seems like everyone I know is redoing furniture and making it look amazing!  And Annie Sloan paint seems to be the key!

And lastly, I saw this idea on Pinterest.  This women wrote a journal full of letters, prayers, and Bible verses to each of her children.  When they left for college, she gave their journal to them.

I really want to do this now! How special and encouraging!

And lastly, Mitt Romney is killing this debate.  What's weird is that it seems like Obama was not prepared for what Mitt was going to say?  But I will not get political on my blog.

However, Republicans and Democrats, before you ever make a claim about education again...

pinning pinning pinning

I spent part of tonight pinning, pinning, pinning, just to unwind for the day.

I am ALWAYS amazed by the awesome things I find on Pinterest.  People are so creative.  God makes each of us so perfectly unique.  Pinterest is such a cool reminder of that!

 I am obsessed with Instagram, but I always find myself wishing I had copies of my pictures.  Well now you can!  They will print them, make them magnets, and more!

 

 I absolutely LOVE monograms!  How cute is this casserole carrier.  Minus the Auburn colors, it is precious!  I would love to show up at a party with my dish in this cute carry!

Also, I'm going to do a DIY on a lamp in our house THIS weekend!  This lamp shade would fit in perfectly! I can't wait to get started!

I've been crushing on everyone's statement necklaces.  I'm definitely in the market for my own.  I just have to find the perfect style for me!  This one is precious!

 

 I've been seeing these on Pinterest.  Then I simply Googled "31 days of prayer for your husband." You wouldn't believe how many links I found.  I've got at least five months worth of different prayers to cover David with!  I'm pretty excited about it!

 Lastly, I love my husband.  He is so amazing!

Just a couple days ago, I got the most perfect gift in the mail! (Thanks dad!)

I have seriously been searching for a planner that had lots of space and room for me to keep up with my daily activities, notes, and weekly meals.  When I discovered that the Lilly Pulitzer planner had those things and was only $28, I was pumped!  And let me just tell you, I have put her to good use already!  What kind of planners do you use?

This weekend, the hubs and I went to the lake with his college roommates and their wives!  It was so fun!  Our first married weekend with married friends!  We had such a great time!  We played fun games and ate good food!  Here is my adorable hubby cooking up some yummy meat!

Now I'm in the process of trying to accomplish exactly one million things in one week.  Finish putting our apartment together and getting some things we need, planning and creating for pre-planning and the new school year, and working on a contracted project.

There are two things that keep looming in my mind; what to put above the couch and above our bed.  I've been search for great ideas and here is what I have found so far.

It's Wednesday and guess what! That means there are officially 2 DAYS LEFT until spring break!!! I can hardly contain myself!!! I think I'm about to hit my patience tolerance. Wooooo. Deep breaths! Almost there!

I'm going to take a break from reality and day dream a bit on Pinterest. So I'm going to share some of my favorite things with you :)

First, welcome to my future workspace. I plan on having a room JUST LIKE THIS! I'm just a little obsessed!!!

I also need a bedroom JUST LIKE THIS!!!! I think David would be cool with that!

Also, going to need a kitchen like this... stat.

And on the theme of my new house, I think this living room belongs in my future home. Don't you?

Yes, it's true. I've been daydreaming away on Pinterest again. But let's get real- who doesn't?! However, before I get started I have to tell you about this little gem one of my students showed me. It's a waste of time, yes, but I laughed so hard I cried. Follow the link and enjoy a little brainless fun.

Now onto Pinterest! I pinned a lot this week! It was hard to choose just SOME of my favorites! Nonetheless, here they are!

Last night's episode of New Girl was LAUGH OUT LOUD funny!! I just love Jess and well, the WHOLE cast!! So creative! My students say I act like her in the classroom. Compliment? I'm not sure. At least they think I'm funny.

I want to live here and own everything in this house.

I think I NEED a Katniss ring. So I can channel my inner warrior every day.

I also think I need this dress. It's gorgeous. Love the ring too.

I went shopping with my grandma this past weekend for my honeymoon! And let me just tell you, orange and salmon are the colors this season!! They are everywhere! And that is why I am loving this outfit!! The dress is so cute and they have added just a pop of color through accessories! Presh!

There is nothing I love more than anything in PURPLE!! First of all, it is my favorite color. Secondly, why should I be giving you more reasons when we all know you love it too! So, let's put something Coach and the color purple together and WAAALA, we have something beautiful!

Lastly, this is how my students are making me feel this week. Sometimes I wonder if high schoolers just think we can't see them while we are teaching. I mean seriously.
