almost there

I've almost made it to fall break!  My 15-17 hour days will finally be over!  I am SOOO ready for the break!  It is much needed.

Its been awhile since I've linked up with Oh, How Pinteresting on a Wednesday and I'm excited to show you what all I've been eyeing!

There is some very pretty jewelry on Pinterest.
Already has our initials on it!
Forget me not!
Lockets are so in! Love it!
I am so ready to get busy using Annie Sloan paint.  It seems like everyone I know is redoing furniture and making it look amazing!  And Annie Sloan paint seems to be the key!
If you have any tips, I would love to hear them!  Here are some of my ideas for DIY projects!
Cute end table ideas!
Love this chest!
And lastly, I saw this idea on Pinterest.  This women wrote a journal full of letters, prayers, and Bible verses to each of her children.  When they left for college, she gave their journal to them.
I really want to do this now! How special and encouraging!
And lastly, Mitt Romney is killing this debate.  What's weird is that it seems like Obama was not prepared for what Mitt was going to say?  But I will not get political on my blog.
However, Republicans and Democrats, before you ever make a claim about education again...
VISIT MY CLASSROOM.  See what it's like.  Support your teachers.  Be parents. K, thanks.

pinning pinning pinning

I spent part of tonight pinning, pinning, pinning, just to unwind for the day.
I am ALWAYS amazed by the awesome things I find on Pinterest.  People are so creative.  God makes each of us so perfectly unique.  Pinterest is such a cool reminder of that!

I am obsessed with Instagram, but I always find myself wishing I had copies of my pictures.  Well now you can!  They will print them, make them magnets, and more!

I absolutely LOVE monograms!  How cute is this casserole carrier.  Minus the Auburn colors, it is precious!  I would love to show up at a party with my dish in this cute carry!
Also, I'm going to do a DIY on a lamp in our house THIS weekend!  This lamp shade would fit in perfectly! I can't wait to get started!
I've been crushing on everyone's statement necklaces.  I'm definitely in the market for my own.  I just have to find the perfect style for me!  This one is precious!
I've been seeing these on Pinterest.  Then I simply Googled "31 days of prayer for your husband." You wouldn't believe how many links I found.  I've got at least five months worth of different prayers to cover David with!  I'm pretty excited about it!
Lastly, I love my husband.  He is so amazing!

What are you pinning?

half way!

I'm half way through the week and almost feeling better!  Trying to get these sick days behind me!
After watching my volleyball team win a tournament this past weekend, I knew it would be a good week!  I'm excited to share with you what I've been looking at on Pinterest and a few things I'm loving this week!

First, I have fallen in love with a new comedy!  Now let me set the record straight... nothing will ever replace my beloved FRIENDS.  But I'm seriously into How I Met Your Mother!  I just think it's hilarious.  Love it.
I am loving.... my new washer and dryer!  We've been needing them for awhile now and were really blessed to get them this past week! Woohoo to laundry!

I am loving.... my volleyball team!  They have really been listening to me and improving!  My mama and grandma are coming to watch them tomorrow night!

Over on Pinterest, I have been oooing and awwwing over puppies!  That's right, I have PUPPY FEVER!!!!  They are so cute though!  David and I really want one.  You can be sure that the day it happens, I will probably begin posting an obnoxious amount of puppy pictures!

My BFF Maggie and I starting making arts and crafts together a long time ago.  And we've made A LOT of things.  But one of my favorite go-to projects that Maggie taught me how to make are coasters!  When I saw these, I knew I would have to make them!  Stain-glass coasters!  So cute!
Now that I've become quite the cook (if I do say so myself), I've been desiring a beautiful kitchen in the future.  This is one of many I've picked out.  I absolutely love everything about this kitchen.  The colors, rustic look, tile, hanging lamps, stools...it just all comes together so perfectly.
I can't WAIT for fall!  It is beyond my favorite season!  AND I LOVE roasting pumpkin seeds :)
I am definitely going to need to get one of these for my wall when I have kids!  So cute! To keep up with their growth measurements!
Lately, David and I have really been into broiling tomatoes with seasonings and parm on top.  Excellent side to any dish.  YUM!

I love the simple reminders I see on Pinterest about how much God loves us.
HE LOVES US SO MUCH!!

I hope you are having a GREAT week so far!  What are you pinning?

oh how pinteresting

It's been awhile since I have linked up with Oh How Pinteresting or What I'm Loving Wednesday, so here it is!  I've been all over Pinterest, but never on Wednesdays!  With school having started back up, I've been crazy busy!

First and foremost, I need someone to invite me to the fanciest ball of all.  Because I need to wear this dress ASAP.  I'm probably going to need someone to donate about $100,000 for it too.  This scale inspired dress is so pretty!
There are many recipes I have been storing up on my Pinterest to try out!  This is an easy alternative to chips that I'm dying to get in the kitchen and make!  If you have tried it, let me know!  It seems as if you can turn any veggie into a chip!
And how precious is this watch!  I'm definitely going to need to add this to my arm candy collection soon!
It's no secret that I have a sweet tooth, but it's extremely hard to find desserts to eat on my diet.  And the hubs loves to have a little something sweet every now and then.  When I found this on Pinterest, I knew I had to add it to my catalog of necessary desserts to try!  It's a Peanut Butter Pie, made of two ingredients whipped together!  Peanut Butter and Vanilla Chobani Greek Yogurt.  SO EASY!  AND the protein and fiber are extremely close to cancelling out all of the carbs!  Now, to find a solution to the crust!
And lastly for tonight, this is on my wish list!  So cute!

Thank you again Pinterest, for giving me so many great ideas!
What are you finding that you love?

coming together!

I've been MIA from the blog world all week! Opps!  I've been so busy in my classroom and with volleyball! I've been making Pinterest ideas become reality, writing syllabi and lesson plans, and doing a lot of hot gluing.
I finally got the bins I first saw at the Container Store.  Except, I found them on sale at Bed, Bath, and Beyond.  Score! They are labeled for class periods.  One set is for composition books and the other for completed work.

Above is a homework bulletin board.  Where I can post weekly homework assignments.  But my favorite part about my desk area (other than how I covered the front of my desk!) is the map behind my desk.

The map was my grandfather's.  My grandma gave it to me after he passed and it has hung in my classroom since!

I divided my bulletin board into three sections.  Farthest right is a sports board.  I hang the schedules for all of the current sports seasons at the school.

The middle is for STAR work!  I got this idea from a friend on Instagram and then found it on Pinterest later.  They both inspired me to create my own!  I plan on hanging a piece of star student work on each of the stars!

Lastly, furthest left, my song inspired board (We built this city on rock and rolllll...) is for an assignment.  Each students is to bring in a picture of something that is affected by the government.  It could be paid for by the government or be under law by the Constitution.  Then we will divide them into local, state, and federal.  So that the students can gain an understanding of how government affects their lives everyday!
While decorating my classroom, Carly Rae inspired me to create this above my homework board.  I hope the kids don't think I'm cray cray.

And the last shot I have of my classroom for you today is the back.  If you look closely, you will see my grandfather's flight helmet.  It's always a big hit with the students.

The giant flag hanging on the wall was flown above the United States Capital by Representative Jack Kingston of Georgia in honor of me!  Cool right?!

Hope you had a great week! Let me know what you think of my room!

oh how pinteresting: summa wedding

I've seriously been contemplating what type of new planner I want for next year.  I've been eying a Lily Pulitzer 2012-2013 planner.  BUT I'm not 100% sold on this!  If you are a teacher, you understand how important this is!
Today I have seen this little gem floating around the internet.  Upon further investigation, I found out it was a painting.  However, I'm praying, wishing, and sending good thoughts out into the universe that this will inspire someone to really make this movie.  If you know me, but at all, you know that I LOVE LOVE ABSOLUTELY UNDYINGLY LOVE everything Disney!
I've been looking for wedding do's on Pinterest!  Obviously, the best place to do that.  I can't wait for my hair trial to see what they all look like!
And if I haven't mentioned it enough... our BIG day is almost here!!!!  Everything seems to be coming together and now that school is almost out, it seems like its coming even faster!!! I'm especially looking forward to all the pictures we are going to take!
I have a few projects I want to get accomplished before the wedding!  Isn't this frame adorable?
Why is it that I just cannot get enough of this show.  I laugh every time and I've seen every episode at least 24 times.
Happy Pinteresting!

oh how pinteresting...

It's Wednesday and guess what! That means there are officially 2 DAYS LEFT until spring break!!! I can hardly contain myself!!! I think I'm about to hit my patience tolerance. Wooooo. Deep breaths! Almost there!

I'm going to take a break from reality and day dream a bit on Pinterest. So I'm going to share some of my favorite things with you :)

First, welcome to my future workspace. I plan on having a room JUST LIKE THIS! I'm just a little obsessed!!!

I also need a bedroom JUST LIKE THIS!!!! I think David would be cool with that!

Also, going to need a kitchen like this... stat.

And on the theme of my new house, I think this living room belongs in my future home. Don't you?

And to seal the deal... a warm wreath on the front door to invite all of you beautiful people in!

Happy Wednesday!
